Como sinal dessa desconfian\u00e7a, muitas meninas e mulheres exclu\u00edram fotos e v\u00eddeos de suas contas em redes sociais. Ao abrir a mensagem, encontrou uma foto sua de alguns anos atr\u00e1s, quando ainda estava na escola, seguida por uma segunda imagem, que utilizava a mesma foto, mas de maneira sexualmente expl\u00edcita \u2014 e falsificada: &#8220;Fiquei petrificada, me senti completamente sozinha&#8221;, relatou \u00e0 BBC. Por\u00e9m, ela n\u00e3o foi a \u00fanica v\u00edtima.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height: 1.7999999999999998; text-align: justify; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;\">Dois dias antes, a jornalista Ko Narin havia publicado no Hankyoreh (jornal sul-coreano) sobre grupos de bate-papo no Telegram em que &#8220;a cada minuto, as pessoas enviavam fotos de garotas que conheciam, pedindo que fossem transformadas em <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: italic; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;\">deepfakes<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial,sans-serif; color: #000000; background-color: transparent; font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;\">\u201d. A pol\u00edcia inicialmente investigou este tipo de crime em duas universidades, mas logo se espalhou para escolas de Ensino Fundamental e M\u00e9dio.<\/span><\/p><p dir=\"ltr\" style=\"line-height: 1.7999999999999998; text-align: justify; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt;\"><span style=\"background-color: transparent; color: #000000; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; white-space-collapse: preserve;\">Em resposta ao aumento de casos, a pol\u00edcia anunciou, em 2 de setembro, a possibilidade de investigar o Telegram, assim como as autoridades francesas fizeram ao acusar o fundador da plataforma de facilitar atividades ilegais. Segundo a professora da Universidade de Seul, Hong Nam-hee, a cultura mis\u00f3gina que permeia a Coreia do Sul colabora para a perman\u00eancia da pr\u00e1tica desses crimes realizados majoritariamente por homens. Mesmo antes dos casos que vieram \u00e0 tona recentemente, atrizes e cantoras sul-coreanas j\u00e1 correspondiam a mais da metade das pessoas que apareciam em pornografia deepfake no mundo, no ano passado. Esse cen\u00e1rio de vulnerabilidade \u00e9 resumido pela estudante Kim Haeun: &#8220;A maioria dos crimes sexuais tem como alvo mulheres.
