The purpose of this special issue is to obtain critical contributions regarding the participation of Brazil and China in BRICS as a political coalition to leverage their actions and create an agency within the international system, emphasizing the interaction between their components and highlighting the role played by China and Brazil in the present scenario. The goal is to receive contributions that focus on analysis derived from the field of International Political Economy.<\/p>\n<p>Journal of China and International Relations (JCIR) is a scholarly journal affiliated with the joint research center \u2013 China and International Relations \u2013 a collaboration between Aalborg University (AAU), Denmark and University of International Relations (UIR), Beijing, China.
