O projeto de expans\u00e3o cultural do governo coreano vem obtendo \u00eaxito ao exportar elementos culturais mundo afora, principalmente no que diz respeito \u00e0 m\u00fasica pop coreana (K-pop), o cinema, dramas televisivos (K-drama), a culin\u00e1ria (K-food) e os produtos est\u00e9ticos (Kbeauty). Essa expans\u00e3o cultural tem nutrido o desejo em muitos profissionais de pesquisar sobre a Coreia com um n\u00edvel de complexidade maior. Contudo, n\u00e3o existem muitos espa\u00e7os em Pernambuco que consigam acolher essas demandas. Portanto, objetivamos fazer esse acolhimento e, principalmente, desenvolver um aprofundamento do racioc\u00ednio cr\u00edtico nas diversas \u00e1reas de conhecimento atrav\u00e9s de uma pesquisa sistem\u00e1tica e coesa sobre a pen\u00ednsula coreana. Nesse sentido, s\u00e3o bem-vindos os interessados a pesquisar assuntos tanto sobre a Rep\u00fablica Popular Democr\u00e1tica da Coreia quanto a Rep\u00fablica da Coreia. Assim sendo, os pesquisadores ser\u00e3o estimulados a desenvolverem pesquisas com abordagem interdisciplinar e intercultural sobre a Coreia tendo o apoio da comunidade por meio da Curadoria de Estudos Coreanos. Esta tem como miss\u00e3o inicial fomentar, em Pernambuco, as pesquisas sobre a Pen\u00ednsula Coreana, a partir de quatro pilares: a. cultura; b. economia; c. sa\u00fade e inova\u00e7\u00e3o; d. hist\u00f3ria, sociedade e pol\u00edtica. The Korean government\u2019s cultural expansion project has been successful in exporting their cultural elements worldwide, mainly through korean pop music (K-pop), cinema, television series (K-drama), culinary (K-food) and beauty products (Kbeauty). This cultural expansion sparked an interest among researchers in understanding Korea with a higher complexity level. However, there are not many spaces in Pernambuco that are able to accommodate these demands. Therefore, we intend to provide this space and, mainly, to develop a deepening of critical understanding on the Korean peninsula in various areas of knowledge through systematic and cohesive research. In this sense, people interested in topics regarding both the Democratic People\u2019s Republic of Korea and the Republic of Korea will be welcomed. That being said, researchers will be encouraged to develop researches with an interdisciplinary and intercultural approach on Korea, receiving support from their peers through the Curatorship of Korean Studies. The curatorship has as its initial goal to foster researches made in Pernambuco about the Korean peninsula, from four pillars: a. culture; b. economy; c. health and innovation; d. history, society and politics.
