Neste contexto, o Instituto de Estudos da \u00c1sia (IE\u00c1SIA) \u00e9 fundado, passando, desde 2021, a integrar o Centro de Estudos Avan\u00e7ados (CEA\/UFPE), como Coordenadoria de Estudos da \u00c1sia (CE\u00c1SIA).<\/p>\n<p>Consolidando sua presen\u00e7a como o maior centro sobre o tema no Norte-Nordeste do Brasil, a Coordenadoria preserva seu car\u00e1ter transdisciplinar e seu objetivo de concatenar o trip\u00e9 ensino, pesquisa e extens\u00e3o, ao mesmo tempo em que dissemina o conhecimento sobre a \u00c1sia dentro e fora da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. Entre suas diretrizes de atua\u00e7\u00e3o, est\u00e3o o fomento ao interesse investigativo sobre a \u00c1sia, bem como a promo\u00e7\u00e3o do interesse de pesquisa no Brasil sobre as institui\u00e7\u00f5es parceiras na \u00c1sia e a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de conhecimento comparado sobre os processos de desenvolvimento nos pa\u00edses da \u00c1sia e no Brasil, desenvolvendo compet\u00eancias de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o entre os jovens pesquisadores, a partir do interc\u00e2mbio de professores e alunos e da promo\u00e7\u00e3o de uma cultura de troca de conhecimento e harmonia entre os pa\u00edses da \u00c1sia e no Brasil.<\/p>\n<p>Com aproximadamente duzentos membros e pesquisadores associados, a Coordenadoria organiza suas atividades em distintas curadorias, a saber: Assuntos do Jap\u00e3o, Rela\u00e7\u00f5es Sino-Africanas, Tecnologia e Inova\u00e7\u00e3o, Pol\u00edtica Industrial e Institui\u00e7\u00f5es, Matrizes Energ\u00e9ticas, Seguran\u00e7a Alimentar e Aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o de Terras, Timor Leste e demais Pa\u00edses do Sudeste Asi\u00e1tico, Hist\u00f3ria da China, Literatura Asi\u00e1tica, e Estudos Coreanos.<\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m de uma agenda cont\u00ednua de pesquisa em seu \u00e2mbito, com publica\u00e7\u00f5es cont\u00ednuas, s\u00e3o organizados eventos acad\u00eamicos, tanto nacionais quanto internacionais, recrudescendo, ainda, parcerias com institui\u00e7\u00f5es da sociedade civil, representa\u00e7\u00f5es diplom\u00e1ticas e outras universidades e centros de pesquisa.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:spacer {\"height\":25} -->\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 25px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\n<!-- \/wp:spacer --><!-- wp:paragraph {\"align\":\"center\"} -->\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">\u2500\u2500\u2500\u2500\u2500\u2500\u2500\u2500\u2500\u2500\u2500\u2500<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:heading -->\n<h2>About Us<\/h2>\n<!-- \/wp:heading --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph {\"align\":\"justify\"} -->\n<p>In 2015, the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), Brazil, created its international instituts, with the intention of deepening and expanding synergy in the area of \u200b\u200binternational studies. The Institute of Asian Studies (IE\u00c1SIA) was one of those institutes, and, since 2021, it has joined the Center for Advanced Studies, as the Asia Studies Coordination (CE\u00c1SIA).<\/p>\n<p>Consolidating its presence as the largest center on the subject in the North-Northeast of Brazil, the Coordination preserves its transdisciplinary character and its objective of linking the teaching, research and extension tripod, while disseminating knowledge about Asia inside and outside of the Federal University of Pernambuco.
